Blackstar Membership on Ecademy - 5th December 2007
Helen Winder, the founder of Office Helper, has recently become a Blackstar member of Ecademy, an online networking community with over 350,000 users worldwide. BlackStar is about accelerated networking and building successful, long-term business relationships. BlackStars typically achieve 3 times more business just by being a part of this community.
Richard Wilkins provides Inspiration to our Guests - 25th September 2007
On Tuesday 25th September 2007 we celebrated our 1st year in our offices. To do this we held an Inspiration Evening with guest speaker Richard Wilkins (www.theministryofinspiration.com).
What an AMAZING evening - At 6pm 65 Guests arrived and were welcomed with a glass of wine and a nibble or two. Networking commenced with lots of business cards being swapped and old friends meeting again, conversation and laughter filled the room for the next hour.
At 7pm guests made their way to a marquee and took their seats for the main event. The song ‘Proud’ was playing in the background which created a feel of anticipation. A large screen sat on the stage which was lit by stage lights from all directions.
Jon Boys introduced Helen Winder, the founder of Office Helper and Graham Winder, her husband and partner, who took us on a journey through Office Helper’s past, present and future. Helen introduced The Divisions (XanCall, ProXorce, ExecAssist and Formulae) and finally, the Office Helper team, not forgetting Helen and Graham’s sons Alastair and Oliver.
It was a little chilly but Jon promised us that as soon as Richard Wilkins began speaking we would all forget the temperature – and we certainly did! Richard connected with the room straight away, making us laugh with his jokes, and cry with his moving true stories. His enthusiasm was infectious and we found ourselves beginning to like his bright pink jacket! He showed us how to get “there”, taught us about success and how to achieve it but most importantly, that we are all Superheroes pretending to be ordinary people…
A big thank you to everyone who came along, you made it the amazing night that it was.
